If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed while caring for a parent, partner, or loved one — you’re not alone. The emotional weight of caregiving can be a lot, especially when it feels like the responsibility is all on your shoulders.
And it’s not just a feeling, it’s backed by research.
A 2018 study published in Frontiers in Psychology looked at over 500 caregivers and found something many of us already know deep down: the more care you give, the more it can take out of you — especially when you’re doing it alone.
But here’s the good news: support makes all the difference.
The study found that caregivers who felt supported — emotionally, practically, or socially — were less likely to experience depression, anxiety, or burnout. Even better? That support actually helped build resilience, making them stronger in the long run.
At LiLo Health, we believe in this wholeheartedly.
Caregivers aren’t just part of the health system. They are the health system. That’s why we’re building tools to support you. Not just with alerts and smart sensors (although we have those too), but with real community, practical help, and peace of mind.
Because caregiving is hard, but it shouldn’t be lonely.
